Ileana
Ileana D'Cruz, latest Telugu film industry sensation, was born on 19th August, 1987, in Mumbai. Her nick name is Lana. She has grown up Mumbai and currently resides at Goa. She was a model and did dome ads before she came into the film industry. She has got three sisters and two brothers. Her parents named her Ileana which is a Greek name.
Ileana started her movie career with the telugu film "Devadasu" directed by Y.V.S. Chowdhary. The director happened to see her in a fair and lovely ad directed by Rakesh Roshan and she was cast into the film. The film was a success and caught the attention of some of the big names in the Telugu film industry. Later she acted opposite Mahesh Babu in the film "Pokiri" directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film turned out to be a huge success in the history of Telugu film industry and grossed over 66.5 crore rupees, which was the largest sum grossed by any movie in the industry. Her character was picturised so well in that picture that she became the favourite actress of a large number of people. She became a top actress overnight. After that film she made her Tamil film debut with Ravi Krishna in the film Kedi. Although the film did not do so well at the box office, Ileana got the the required attention in the industry. As a result many directors and actors from Tamil film industry supposedly approached her with big projects, which she turned down later as she was already committed in some films in the Telugu film industry. Later she acted in "Khatarnak", a Amma Rajasekhar's movie, opposite Ravi Teja. But the film did not do well at the box office.
Later Ileana acted in Krishna Vamsi's film "Rakhi" opposite N.T.R. Junior. The film recorded a notable success at the box office. And again she became a busy actress with offers coming into her lap. Her recent movie is "Munna" where she played the female leading role opposite Prabhas. The film is supposed to be a good one. Some of the pictures she is shooting at the moment are "Aata" opposite Siddharth Narayan, and one untitled film directed by Trivikram Srinivas opposite Pawan Kalyan. She is said to have recently signed a Hindi film opposite Shah Rukh Khan titled "Killer". The film is said to be a remake of the successful Telugu film "Athadu". She is said to be getting a lot of offers from well-known directors and producers of both Telugu and Tamil film industry.
With a lot of big projects to choose from and more than the required qualifications to reach the top, Ileana is sure to be the next biggest faces in the glamorous film industry.
